I believe in putting the user first to create digital experiences that are as intuitive as they are engaging, and that work effortlessly no matter where you are or what device you use. Today, that may mean creating a responsive experience for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Tomorrow, it may be for your car, TV, or virtual reality system. Human technology and how we interface with it is constantly changing, and I enjoy the challenge of constantly learning and adapting to the future.
Unfortunately, that future will soon end with the zombie apocalypse. When I’m not designing compelling user experiences, I spend my free time saving the world from zombies, aliens, and robots. Besides playing video games, I also like to run. This is a useful skill when being chased by the undead. Running also helps me feel less guilty about my wine tasting hobby.
Originally from New Jersey, I was lured out west by the dot com boom. I started out as web producer for Lonely Planet, before becoming their Ecommerce Manager. My experience in re-launching their online store sparked an interest in information architecture and UX. I worked at the interactive agency Fluid for several years, doing interaction design and content strategy for a variety of ecommerce clients, before joining the team at MRM McCann. At MRM, I designed desktop, mobile, and email experiences primarily for B2B clients such as Intel, Cisco, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, The Doctor’s Company, and Corning. After MRM, I joined Extractable, a boutique design agency specializing in the financial industry. My projects have ranged from UX strategy and full site redesigns to microsites and apps.
